Okay, now I'm pissed

I went to work this morning, even though I'm still not feeling well, but I didn't want to miss another day because everyone is so in my face about calling in for the past 2 (I was off on Tuesday anyway because I work Saturday). So I get there, and I gave the note to my supervisor (Michele is her name) and everything was fine. She took me off bloodspin because I knew there was no way I could stand up all day, put me on the stat desk (which I hate, but it's better than being on my feet for 8 hours), and I started to work. Around 2pm, I went over and asked her if it was at all possible for me to take my break a bit early so I could run out and grab some Advil because I'm still in pain, and she said "If you're feeling so bad that you have to leave work to get medicine, maybe you should just go home. Otherwise, you can wait until your scheduled lunch time (which was 3:30) and go then." What the fuck?! I'm standing here telling you that I'm in pain and need something for it, and you're telling me I can't go or I have to go home for the rest of the day? I was so upset at this point that I just said fine, I'll go home, so here I am. Really not looking forward to the text messages I'll be getting from my brother in an hour or so when he gets there and realizes I went home early...*sigh* And I know this is going to cause a shitstorm for me on Monday, which I am also not looking forward to. I swear, for working in a hospital that deals with sick people all the time, they sure make getting ill feel like a crime. Trust me, if I'd had a choice, I would havegladly been at work the past few days rather than sitting at home in agony with a kidney stone. Bleh...whatever. They're liable to fire me at this point, and that will make me very sad, but I guess that's life. We'll see what happens Monday when I go in.

  1. They are so infuriating. Bitching and whining for a few days and when you come in you're told to go home?! HYPOCRITICAL ASSES

    *coughs*

Sorry...they just thoroughly annoy me when they do shit like that. She could have just yet, "Yeah, sure. Go on your break now and get the advil."

It's not like you asked to go home because you were dying. You asked for something simple and practical and, in my opinion, she should have just said yes and been done with it.

    God they can suck sometimes
