So, as much as I was dreading getting up to do this walk (me and single digit hours of the morning
do not get along very well, as many of you know...), it actually turned out to be a lot of fun. We ended up with a much larger group than I was anticipating, including all the boys, so they made it more than amusing. The total turn out was around 10,000 people which is pretty damn impressive and was really nice to see. Ann Marie (Leslie's mother, a breast cancer survivor) was so grateful to everyone who came :) I feel kinda lame because I didn't actually raise any money, but I did walk the entire 5K on about 2 hours of sleep, so I figure giving my support and time makes up for it, plus, our team did meet its goal. It was a little bit scary to be surrounded by so much
pink, and even I wore pink (covered up by my awesome black hoodie, of course xD), but it was also really cool to see so many people out there supporting such an important cause. And, of course, I have some pictures of the boys in their pink.

The shirt and tie combo for a 5K walk was hilarious...unfortunately, this picture does not show the camo shorts he also wore with the outfit, but I think I got one that I can upload later. Gotta love my brother.

Paul and his pink bandana!

Jared decided that wearing the pink beanie over his baseball cap simply wasn't enough, so he stretched the beanie until it covered the cap. He also had matching gloves at one point, but Evan stole them, and then Krystle stole them from Evan...

And then there was Evan...Rick put the bandana on for him, and he wore it like that for about 2 miles! xD

ReplyDeleteOMG. I LOVE your boys! Beyond all reason, I LOVE them!
xD They all rock. And I'm glad you had fun =) Single digit hours suck if you don't want to be up at that time so *hugs* but I'm glad you had a lot of fun and money was raised and the boys were there :3
