He got it!

My brother got the promotion! Heh...well, as near as I can tell, anyway. He had his interview today and, when it was over, he came in and gave me this huge, cheeky grin, shook my hand and told me to have a great night, and then, as he was walking away, he turned back and gave me a thumbs up. I know him well enough to know what he was trying to say, and so I feel safe in saying that he got it, even though no one except him and the people who interviewed him have any "official" word.

 

Rick, you will never see this, but congratulations, little brother. I am so incredibly happy for you and insanely proud of you. I couldn't ask for a better brother, and I know that we've had our rough times over the years, but honestly, I couldn't ask for a better friend, either. I love you so much, and you deserve this. It could not have happened to a more deserving, nicer person.
