Okay...now that REALLY pisses me off!

I know I said I was going to stay out of that thread, and I really, really should have...but, you know me...

Anyway...THIS!

It's not about that. It's about messing up the lyrics (Anette always seems to get the DBP and Nemo lyrics wrong and I'm sure she could spare a moment to learn them properly), getting too drunk to sing and not giving a shit when someone tells you your music saved his/her life.

...just...really...God...I don't think I have the words to properly express how angry that makes me. And no, I don't mean at Tuomas. I know for a fact that it touches him deeply when someone tells him that his music and lyrics have saved their life, because I said this to him myself, both in person and in a letter that I wrote to him and he almost looked like he was going to cry! He thanked me for sharing that with him, gave me a very warm, very sincere hug and a kiss on the cheek (this was the first night we met them) and then (on the second night) after he had read my letter and saw me again, he actually took the time to talk to me for almost 15 minutes while signing things for other people! Does that sound like someone who "doesn't give a shit" about his fans and the effect that his music has on people? No, it doesn't! Now, I'm not saying that the person who originally said that he didn't look at her or anything when she said that to him is lying, but does anyone ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, he was having a bad day? He is (as the people on this forum like to point out quite often) after all, only human, and human beings are allowed to have bad days and not give 110% of themselves all the time.

And the humble bit...my God! Do these people ever watch interviews with this man, do they pay any attention to the things he says at all??? He is probably one of the most humble people on this planet, particularly given the position he holds! People all over the world look up to him and respect him, practically worship him, and he's never, EVER let it go to his head! Perhaps it's not the most prudent thing for him to run around proclaiming how humble he is, but honestly, I don't think that's what he was doing at all. He was asked a question, and he answered it the best way he could, end of discussion.

God I wish I was brave enough to go and say even a portion of this on the actual forum, but I can't and I won't. Heaven forbid someone actually come along and disagree with what these mindless idiots have to say...and the sad part is, if I did bother to go on there and attempt to defend Tuomas (or the rest of the band, for that matter) I would be the one getting called a "mindless follower". Whatever...
